Question about comments

I'm still pretty new to the feeds and contests, so want to clarify before I end up not getting expected rewards.

When I make a post and then make a comment in response to someone else's comment, do those subsequent comments of mine count? I would think so, but want to confirm so that I don't miss out because I miscalculated.
