Binge(over) eating during the eating window ㅡ is it still intermittent fasting
Intermittent fasting happens when eating occurs during a particular time window only. It's with the intention of curbing overeating & calorie intake.
But a question arose in my mind: does it still count as intermittent fasting if one not only concentrates all the daily calories intake in the limited time window but actually overeats by intaking more than necessary calories?
By doing so it could also count as binge eating since the eating in this case happens only during certain hours.
By limiting the eating time it may meet the definition of intermittent fasting; however, in whole picture the person is eating more, which could counteract the impacts of fasting.
Intermittent fasting is with the goal of getting healthier but if overeating happens during that, it'd undermine the goal
Does anyone have experiences or opnions to give?
