I was introduced to Kombucha by a friend who told me that it has to be in glass utencil and refrigerated at all times. When I ordered it with 4 different flavors, it was packed in a insulated box carefully packaged all in glass bottles.
So far I don't know about health, may be because I didn't start with a specific goal in mind. I consumed just like carbonated soft drinks, soda. I have only one bottle left in gingerade flavor. I don't know if I continue ordering, it's a bit costly.
So far I found that Kombucha is a fermented tea rich with enzymes, probiotic, and organic acids. Originally discovered in Manchurua, the China in 221 bce for health benefits. It migrated to Japan, Russia, and Germany. It reached the US in1990's.
