Pre workout nutrition is essential to maximize your performance during exercise.

 

Carbs: carbohydrates provide energy for your muscles. E.g. whole-grain cracker, yogurt, half sweet 

 

Protein: it is crucial for muscle repair and growth. E.g. protein powder, egg white, nuts, seeds

 

Aim to have a snack about 45 to 60 minutes before your workout.  High protein snacks right before exercising may be effective for muscle growth.
