Most of the food menu items that you can find at your local Tim Hortons are pretty high in calories. Because there are so many locations everywhere, it is convenient if you can find something that is low caloric there as well.
On their all day menu for lunch and dinner, they offer a soup with bread option. The standard choice is a medium sized soup, but you can ask for an upgrade to the large portion.
The soup - there is a choice between their chicken noodle soup and the creamy broccoli soup. Either way, it would come with a Telera bun. It’s basically a Mexican bread roll that is similar to French bread. It has very simple ingredients which include wheat, flour, yeast, salt, and water.
I usually like to pick chicken noodle soup because it is healthy and has a good amount of protein. The soup is also made with 100% chicken breast that is slow cooked, which we all know is the most health conscious part of a chicken.
What I like most about this meal is that it is actually quite filling for lunch. The large portion is only 190 calories which really helps for losing weight or controlling your diet.
I would recommend that you should try it out for yourself next time you visit Tim Hortons.
