I just had to watch out of curiosity after the hype and awards. I thought it was good, but not great. I am not a history or science enthusiast though.
It was long- but you've heard that. I had to hit pause and do other things to get through it, but I kept going back. The story did keep me engaged. And, it was interesting to see the history unfold.
My favorite part was when Oppenheimer realized what he created and his interactions with Einstein. The film brought these highly intelligent men to life.
My least favorite scenes were about Oppenheimer's affair. It may have been a part of his life, but they lowered the class of the movie by including this story.
The acting was intense and the music was superb. Cillian Murphy's performance was definitely worthy of his Academy Award. Robert Downey and Matt Damon were great in their non-traditional roles.
I guess I recommend it, if you have time!
Did you watch it? Did you like it?
