Southern Marsh Orchids (Dactylorhiza praetermissa) are perennial plants and are fully hardy in the UK. The flowers, appearing from May to July, are various shades of pink with variable markings. The basal lip of the flower is rounded.
The whole plant dies back in early autumn and is dormant through the winter. Plant out in their final positions at the beginning or end of the dormancy period i.e. early autumn or early spring.
