Consistent Exercise in Neighborhood

One thing I've found when it comes to exercise is that variety is key. If you keep variety as part of your training you will enjoy it more. That's not to say you should change it every day. You need to make sure whatever you're doing you learn to do right. Orcan make sure you challenge yourself to better certain aspects of the routine or your form if it's a lifting exercise.

Running for example, you need to time yourself to make sure you're improving. To do that you'll need a specific route but that's not to say you shouldn't mix it up in between to challenge yourself in different ways.

I'm lucky where I live we have many varied routes. I can run around parks or on the road, some hilly some flatter. The key I find is mixing these up so I don't get bored as that keeps me excited and makes it easier for me to want to go out and run.

By mixing up the routes and adding in hills it also challenges my body and then when I do go for my timed route I can see improvements as my legs are getting stronger.

I've also found by keeping the time I go out running the same each day I've now got people from the neighbourhood joining me for parts of the route. Having someone to run with also challenges me to push on but also gives me that connection with people I wouldn't normally meet.
